About RockIt 2000:
RockIt 2000 was originally released in early 2000. It was re-designed from the ground up in early 2005, to better meet the needs of our growing range of customers.
Our focus, is of course, reliability for the disc jockey, and the ability to run on the broadest range of Window's based PCs possible, and to use any existing hardware (sound cards), that Window's supports. RockIt will utilize any available sound cards that Window's can recognize, without any "tweaking" whatsoever on the user's part.
Ease of Use:
The setup is easy, because there is no setup needed to run RockIt in it's standard mode. The only time you need to use the options, is if you want to customize RockIt to use multiple sound cards, different colors, etc. Once the installation is complete, RockIt is ready to run, simply add your tracks to our built in database categorizer with our easy to use Add Tracks dialog, and you're ready to go. You don't even need to use our database if you don't want, you can load the decks directly from hard drive if you choose.
The important controls are color coded for ease of use under demanding DJ conditions, and if you can use a CD player, you can use RockIt!
Quickly Find what you are looking for:
RockIt's search engine is designed to make it simple and quick to find the next track. No fumbling around looking through record or CD cases, just type in a couple characters of the track title, artist, album, anything, it it quickly locates all matching tracks, and display them for you. Simply double-click the track, and it loads into the next available deck!
There is also an advanced search that takes year and BPM ranges, so if you are looking for a track from the 1980's, it will locate all those tracks for you.
Advanced Features:
RockIt has many advanced features that can be used if you want, including: Integrated Jukebox to play music to a separate system if needed; Multiple libraries for categorizing external hard drives, differing collections, etc.; Unlimited saved lists; Checking for broken file links; Named cue points; Quick song presets (4 per deck), to hold commonly used tracks at the ready; Pitch controls and Gain controls; Jog wheel for mixing it up; Advanced cross fading; AutoMix functions; the list goes on and on.
