Rick,
I have the trial version and I tried putting in a DVD from ETV that I picked up at a Mobile Beat Conference many moons ago. Tried to play it but just the message about codecs appear. The problem is I don't know what codecs I need to run videos. Nothing on the jewel box and when I go to the internet I get companies that seem to be selling things. Is there any way you can do a walk through as to where you find the proper codecs to work video on softjock.
It's not as if a message says you need codec 5.34-7 and I go look it up and then download it. I don't know a specific place to go to and ask for the specific codec I need. Rick or anybody help! |

Although Rockit can play videos directly off those discs (I have some as well), it's best to rip them into the computer first. You can use almost any DVD ripping program to do that -- try SmartRipper, if you can find a copy available...
Rip them in as VOB files, then rename them to have an .mpg extension on the file name.
If you want to play them directly off the disc, you need a Codec that can play VOB files. There are so many Codecs available, that it's basically impossible for us to give any sort of intelligent message saying use xxxx Codec.
Try the K-Lite Codec packs -- they usually come with all the basic stuff. _________________ Rick C
