Rick,
I was wondering if the software would work on the Ubuntu (Linux) platform...I am testing the OS and was curious.

Rick,
what if I was to use an emulator from ubuntu that allowed windows programs to operate on it....do you think that would work? Are you familiar with any of this?

Theoretically it's possible, but obviously we could not support that configuration.
It also begs the question -- why would you want to use another OS to run Windows...? It's defeating the purpose...
The issues I see with Linux based OS's, are twofold:
1) There are too many variations to support, and they change constantly.
2) People that generally use Linux, want their software free. That doesn't do much for my bottom line... _________________ Rick C

Rick,
I do see your point and understand what you are saying. Also, in no way am I looking to get the software for free. I just questioned because recenlty I have been having issue with Windows and stability. Although I am no programmer, I heard that Linux was a more stable OS, so I figured I would check it out on the old laptop I have. I still use the laptop with Windows amd the problems I have are very minor...most like attributed to a previous thread where you mentioned issues with Toshiba. I have a newer HP that I am going to be starting to utilize as the DJ laptop. I just figured since I was trying the Linux I would ask.
Thank you for the info _________________ Carl Godfrin
